Judging by the polls I'd say Liberals will gain probably all the seats in Newfoundland and Labrador.

If I could pick any party, the Canadian Libertarian party would be my best fit, but realistically I would be considered a swing Liberal-Conservative voter.

71.2% Liberal in the Newfoundland seats reporting so far. Is that normal?

They got 37.9% of the vote in 2011

Even though it's still early and it's only a couple of riding, it's looking to be a very good night for Liberals.

I'm starting to think the polls underestimated Liberal support... I know it's still early but.....

I'm very curious how Quebec will turn out, specifically the possible Liberal/Bloc gains.

I'm ignorant when it comes to Canadian politics.  Could someone give me an American equivalent for the Tories, Liberal, and NDP?  Is Bloc basically like the SNP in the UK?  What is the Christian Heritage Party- I was talking to a Canadian who said he was voting for them?

I could be wrong but I'll try my best:
Conservatives - Moderate Republicans (so Republican)
Liberals - they have moved to the left this election but they are the centrist party but they would be equal to moderate Democrats
NDP - the traditional social democratic party equivalent to the Bernie Sanders type of Democrats.

Greens - our Greens but theirs is slightly more right wing than ours

Bloc - yes similar to the SNP.

Going to be a bit outrageous here but will former Prime Minister Stephen Harper's ego allow him to remain leader of the Conservatives and if he does try to remain is it likely he will be ousted?

EDIT: meant Conservative leader
