I'm having yet another mental health crisis. I'm really getting sick of this.

I hope you feel better soon.  Very sorry to hear that. Sad

What would be the etymologically correct word for procrastinating when the work you're putting off is actually due tomorrow?

Not sure, but I write a good chunk of my papers the day they're due. Tongue

Would never do that with a CS program though.  That would be a terrible idea.

Well, the paper was due by 10AM today and I did turn it in at 4AM, so I was comfortable. I've done far worse in terms of barely meeting deadlines, but staying up so late was not a very good idea considering I still have one more week of classes.

Interesting.  Most of my papers are due at 5 PM, so that's a little different of a situation.

Just registered myself at the local uni, so barring something unforeseen, I will be studying a program called "International Economics" - basically a hybrid of business and economy with a special emphasis on English and a second foreign language (Italian for me) - at the university of Innsbruck in autumn.

I'm now wondering on whether to do a second studies as well, and if so (probably), what exactly. I've been thinking about pol-sci, Maths, or maybe also anglistics or any other language studies. Anyone got any advice for me? Tongue

Something completely unrelated, friends and I also booked some accomodations + bus tickets for our Iceland trip in July this week. So godamn excited and pumped about that! Cheesy

As a math/CS major, I'd highly recommend studying either one as a second major.

Just graduated from my school of nine years with first honors, a scholarship, and an award from Obama entitled "The President's Outstanding Academic Excellence Award." I also graduated as the President of the Student Council and Vice President of the National Junior Honor Society!

That's impressive! Congrats!
Thank You!! It's been a tough night for me this far because I am leaving the vast majority of everyone, I know but Hello Summer!!!

I take it you'll be going to a different high school than most everyone else in your school?

Tonight I inadvertently dragged my family to a suburban hipster Catholic church (with a thriving lgbt community!). In spite of the gorgeous Scandinavian architecture, it's safe to say we will not be going back. I literally checked about 12x during mass to ensure it was actually Catholic. Discuss with 15 polls, Brtd.
What the hell happened there. Did they forget Agnus Dei or something?

It followed the standard mass, but we kept eyeing each other because something was seriously off about this place. The greeters, the pamphlets (!), the chairs (!!), the Eucharist/lines, the hymns, the altar, the people, even some of the priest's phrasing - felt very non-sectarian. Quite out there, but I guess I like knowing that exists. Not for me though.

Again, the atypical architecture didn't help that perception.

Someone needs you to get acquainted with Protestant services.  It would give you a heart attack.

Especially the "Bible believin' Gospel-preaching" fundamentalist church I go to. Tongue

My wife is pregnant. Did you know you can still be surprised at the news even if you are actively trying to have a baby?

Congratulations!

Well, I took the GRE today as part of a concurrent master's degree program I'm applying for, and I got 170 on the verbal and quantitative sections, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Still, still, still procrastinating on scheduling mine. This is gonna get ugly.

You'll be fine.  Tongue

Trust me, as long as you're just talking about the general test, it's quite easy, especially the quantitative section.  It only goes up to high school geometry and a bit of Algebra 2.
