Well, this could be interesting. Shame Snow will be a sacrificial lamb unless a huge wave starts.

Even if there's a huge wave, Mike Lee isn't going anywhere. Safe R.

Why is Scott doing relatively poorly? I thought he was popular? Vermont is so weird.
Lisman self funded and vastly outspent Scott

Plus it's a Republican primary and even in VT, Scott might be too liberal for a lot of Republicans.

Yeah I thought Scott would be further ahead, but he's still winning by about 20% as we speak, that's not particularly close

Any chance Ryan Greene could defeat the literal Spawn of Satan in the general election?

Unfortunately, I don't think so. Pretty safe to say that we can essentially call her "Congresswoman Elect" Liz Cheney Sad

I honestly wouldn't mind giving up this seat for two years (as long as it's not the seat that decides House control of course) in exchange for a decent Republican picking it up in 2018, but given how Barbara Cubin, with her offensive comments against her disabled opponent still hung on in 2006, a Democratic tsunami, with all the anti-Bush sentiment and popular Democratic Gov. Dave Freudenthal on the ticket, I would say no. The state is R+22 or something.

Yeah, the PVI is R+22. No way Cheney loses this race

Soto wins FL-19 D. So Grayson's wife, Dena Grayson, lost her primary as well

why do the dems here not like garcia? i know he lost in '14 but is there some other reason?

He seems to run very poor campaigns. His staff was involved in two voter fraud cases, one in which his campaign funded a "tea party" candidate to siphon votes away from the Republican candidate, and another involving fraudulent absentee ballots. Garcia denies any involvement, but it makes him look shady. Democrats have to win this seat in order to get close to the majority in the House, and I think Taddeo would be a much better candidate against Carlos Curbelo than Garcia would.

This might help. He is into ratfcking, but denies he knew anything about it.

yikes hahah!

This article essentially sums up why I want Taddeo to be the Dem nominee!

Anyway,
Garcia is obviously going to win lol. Trump will get totally demolished in this district.

What is the new PVI for FL-26, anyone know?

I just looked it up, the FL-26 that Curbelo represents right now has a PVI of R+4. But due to redistricting, the new FL-26 is an Even district. So assuming Trump does poorly in the district, Garcia will likely still win. Still wish Taddeo was the nominee though, it would make a pickup more of a sure thing

My former employer (intern-er?) had a pretty rough night. Brilliant guy, but from Jeb! to Negron, they didn't seem to get across the finish line. Gaetz, Dunn (barely) were the two victories of the bunch that I know of. I think they might have added another one since but I forget who.

What do you think of Mast as a candidate? I think I remember reading that you favored Negron, but I don't know much about either candidate
