I have a little bit off topic question to the UK posters:

Is there any official reason why Labour Party changed its logo from that cool old one to the generic social democratic rose?

I mean from this one:

To the current.

Because it's not really a logo. Remember, prior to the 70's parties didn't have universal logos or even agreed colour schemes (and in some constituencies, names)

Ok, I used bad word - symbol, logo etc.
Maybe in UK there were no universal logos. In Poland Polish Socialist Party had a logo, there was commonly used clover as a symbol agrarian movement, most of the nationalist parties had common symbols, Polish Stronnictwo Demokratyczne in 1939 had a logo, Italian Christian Democracy had a logo/symbol in 40/50s.
