I know that a few of you are registered on AH.com. In the future history subforum was what I thought one of the most absurdist 2016 election scenarios. It opens with Hillary Clinton suffering a stroke in the spring of 2015 and the Democrats struggling to find a new frontrunner before Al Gore surprises the political world with a late entry. Meanwhile Dan Quayle also enters the race and surprises the political world with an upset victory in the GOP primaries. Gore wins the popular vote but the election in a 269-269 deadlock is thrown to the house where Quayle is declared the winner after which Gore commits suicide.

I saw it, and the writer was tripping acid while writing it. (most likely)

Definitely, it kept getting stranger as it went on also.

That was the one with President Mario Cuomo and President Caroline Kennedy, right?

Indeed, Cuomo running for president at the age of 90, and a Paul/Paul libertarian ticket.
