Possibly, but I'm skeptical he's that delusional.


I think that he knows what his odds are but feels like somebody has to do it. I also see him as a bit of an opportunist, since he was sounding Warrenesque notes in a recent speech and feel like he might be trying to fill a void similar to how John Edwards rebranded himself as a populist in 08.

I can't see what he'd have to offer Hillary as VP. Maybe a cabinet post? Or simply raising his profile for 2020 or 24.

On the remote chance that he did somehow pull off an upset and become the Democratic nominee I can already see the Republican signs "NOBAMA NOMALLY!"
