It's very hard for an Illinois Republican to be worse than the Illinois Democrat.

If Kirk were living in a safe state instead of Illinois, I doubt he'd call for hearings.
He probably would not have been the nominee in 2010. If you are implying Kirk is bad, I advise you to look at Duckworth. It's hard for an Illinois Republican to be worse than an Illinois Democrat.

I'd take both of them over most New Jersey politicians

I'm not from NJ. I just moved there in Atlasia.

arkansas politicians, too

I'm sure they aren't amazing, but they're certainly better than Illinois politicians.
