Back in July there were people (Republicans) talking about Oregon and New Jersey being swing states.
Clearly the standards are as follows:
1. Once a Republican even comes close to winning a typically Democratic state at any point in the last 20 years, it is hereby a swing state for every election thereafter
2. In order for a reliably Republican state to be considered a swing state, it must be won by the Democrats at minimum twice, preferably three times.
