This looked like a great program.
Raisins for school lunches and other programs is nice, but the rest sucks. The farmers have as much as half of their produce confiscated with little if any compensation. They are prohibited from marketing and selling their own crop directly to consumers. Many raisin farmers have had to give up their business due to the law. And a lot of the crop of government takes is sold dirt cheap overseas, where it drives down prices there in order to raise them in the US.
This ruling is a major victory against insane government micromanaging and bankrupting of farmers.
Can you back off on the hyperbole?
