So it doesn't look especially likely that Sanders will win the Democratic nomination. Assuming he loses to Clinton, who, if anyone, will be the left-of-center candidate the next time there's a competitive Democratic nomination, and how well will they do?

Why do you think this?

What OC said, basically, combined with the fact that he's not even ahead in Iowa. I used to think it was virtually impossible for him to win. Now I think it's unlikely.
