I guess all of Ron Paul's base has decided to just say screw it this election for some reason. I can understand 4 or 5%, but I don't know how it could be as low as 1%.

He sold out to the establishment. Some of Rand's ideas are good (like voter outreach) but his recent stances on Iran and increasing military spending are not the red meat his father's supporters are looking for.
