I also support this bill, but I feel like it could be worded better to be less vague and potentially confusing.

I was under the impression that amendments by the bill's sponsor are automatically adopted. if that is not the case, then we will move to a 24-hour vote on the amendment.

Don't final votes usually last 72 hours?
I've seen it vary.

This seems to be an issue, though, so while I don't think I can do anything for this bill, from now on I'll have 72-hour voting periods.

Well, I can definitely say that it has been more than 72 hours. This bill has enough votes to pass. Since it's my fault for being late, I will allow 24 hours for any Senator to change their vote.
