I think when he was defending his son Jesse Jr from accusations of mental illness (which may have turned out to be true, I don't remember).

The other guy conservatives seem to think is far more relevant than he actually is is Al Sharpton.

Sharpton was a joke when he ran for President. Jackson was a serious candidate.

Indeed, but Jackson was a serious candidate in 1988, a really long time ago. I think he's been forgotten by this point.
