One of Bush's biggest advantages in this past election was he pinned John Kerry as unfit for command when it came to the war on terror.  He would have failed miserably if he tryed this against the former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO and 4 Star General, Wesley Clark.  The only disadvantage for Clark is he has never held political office but, is still far more intelligent than George W. Bush.

Welcome, fellow Maryland Democrat. Gotta take out Ehrlich in '06!

Damn right.  I have been looking into the race for Governor alot lately.  I havent decided who I will endorse yet because no one has said they are running.  But, everyone knows Dough Duncan and Martin O'Malley will be seeking the Democratic nomination.  Im torn.  I thin O'Malley would be good because of name recognition but, I think Duncan is the better candidate and would be a better Governor.  Anyways, maybe Ill see you out on the campaign trail!

I dont see what Bush could have used against Clark other than not holding political office before.  Still, Supreme Allied Commander of NATO in my opinion holds just as much responsibility as any elected office world wide.

I believe Clark would have carried all of the 251 Kerry electoral votes.  I think he would have picked up Iowa and Arkansas (his home state) and he would have made it extremley close in New Mexico, Missouri, and Louisiana.  Actually he could have made it close in every southern state. You can bet neither candidate would be able to right off the south like the two did this year.  Their would have had to been some serious campaigning down there.

Everytime Clark opens his mouth, he puts down some political, ethnic, or religious group by accident. The mans a joke...

If your gonna accuse the man of that you better throw some sources and proof out there.  He is 100000% more intelligent than anyone residing in the White House right now.

B.S., US Military Academy at West Point, 1966 (graduated first in his class). M.A., Rhodes Scholar, Oxford University, 1968.

Provide an education more impressive by anyone that resides in the White house.  If not give me my proof Smiley

This is Ms. Rice's eductaional background (from Wikipedia):

At 19, Rice earned her bachelor's degree in political science, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Denver in 1974. In 1975, she obtained her master's degree from the University of Notre Dame, and in 1981 she received her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Denver. In addition to English, she speaks Russian, French, and Spanish.

And the last time I checked she didnt reside in the White House.  Hell, she hasnt even been confirmed yet.

Incumbent versus failed general? Sounds like 1964 to me.

Failed? Most decorated office since Dwight Eisenhower.

Last time I checked we won in Kosovo and did not loose one Coalition sodlier.  To bad I cant say the same about Iraq.

You need to do a little more research on Wesley Clark.

A failed general running on how bad a war is going sounds even more like 1964.

Your not posting anything about how he failed.

Failed General vs Failed Drunk? uhhhh

Ya, keep telling yourself that.  If I was dazed.  Someone please daze me again.  If you think the country is in better shape now than it was 5 years ago something is wrong.

Clark was my pick for the primaries.  I think he might have pulled it off.  He would have won Iowa and Arkansas, resulting in a tie.  But Maine's second CD might have gone Bush resulting in a Bush win.  Too many variables to consider, but I think Clark could have pulled it off, with or without "Bosnia Veterans for Truth" bringing up Pristina.

If I was Clark I would have used the WW III MYTHS as a springboard.  It would show the American people he is not willing to back down.  Most Americans like that.

"Clark's problem was that he was a great general but not always a perfect soldier--at least when it came to saluting and saying, "Yes, sir." In fact, when he got orders he didn't like, he said so and pushed to change them."

"More presciently, Clark was right about the Russians. When fewer than 200 lightly armed Russian peacekeepers barnstormed from Bosnia to the Pristina airport in Kosovo to upstage the arrival of NATO peacekeepers, Clark was rightly outraged. Russians did not win the war, and he did not want them to win the peace."

"Clark asked NATO helicopters and ground troops to seize the airport before the Russians could arrive. But a British general, absurdly saying he feared World War III (in truth the Russians had no cards to play), appealed to London and Washington to delay the order."

"The result was a humiliation for NATO, a tonic for the Russian military and an important lesson for the then-obscure head of the Russian national security council, Vladimir Putin. As later Russian press reports showed, Putin knew far more about the Pristina operation than did the Russian defense or foreign ministers. It was no coincidence that a few weeks afterward, Russian bombers buzzed NATO member Iceland for the first time in a decade. A few weeks after that, with Putin as prime minister, Russian troops invaded Chechnya. Putin learned the value of boldness in the face of Western hesitation. Clark learned that he had no backup in Washington."
