Most of the political books I have read have been really boring I dreaded picking them up.  I was looking to see what you guys are reading right now and what you have read in the past that you enjoyed.

What are you reading right now?

What are some of your favorite political books?

Im reading an old book that I started a while back then stopped, but I am definitley going to finish it this time.

"We're Right, They're Wrong" by James Carville.

After that I plan on reading:  "Dont think of an Elephant" by George Lakoff  or   "Whats the matter with Kansas?  How conservatives won the heart of America" by Thomas Franks

BTW, What's the Matter with Kansas? is a great book. No matter what your political views, it's very well written, and gives an interesting take on the conservative dominance of the Great Plains.

Alot of DEM's read it on another board I frequently go to.  They said it was a great book to read regardless of your  political affiliation.  They also said, it was extremley depressing for Democrats because it accuratley depicts how they are losing America.

Does America the Book count? Smiley

If not, then the last political book that I read was Homegrown Democrat by Garrison Keillor, but I don't think that counts either Tongue

Phil: Funnily enough, I've seen Ben say 'kick' instead of 'bump' too.

How is "Homegrown Democrat"?
