Lol, that would be about the best way you could hand Trump the election.  Overriding the popular vote of millions of voters to give the nomination to a crazy old Socialist.

Man, I loved August 2015 too. Before Trump won, before Sanders got 45% of the vote. Boy, wasn't it great when we dismissed them out of hand?

ofc the ideäl result would be if ~200 superdelegates flipped, which would bring the superdelegates in line with popular vote totals and thus neatly defuse a lot of the inevitable rage about "rigged elections" etc.

Agreed. Bernie is right to point out the flaws of a system in which so many superdelegates are committed prior to any primary or caucus having taken place; it would be ideal for those folks to end up being in line with popular vote totals.
