I accept the nomination, but I expect Truman to win.
While we're talking about the bylaws, I think it might be a good idea to ad the position of Congressional Leader to the politburo. My thought is that the Congressional Leader would be chosen from among the Labor House delegation; he or she would be responsible for leading the Labor Congressional Caucus, setting federal legislative priorities in conjunction with the Chairman, and recruiting candidates for House and Senate. Ideally, this person would become the Speaker of the House whenever Labor holds a majority in that chamber.
I also second this, FTR.

No objections from me, even though I'm (technically) running for Vice Chair.

You didn't accept the nomination, so I don't think you are running (yet, at least). Wink

Are we really going to elect a 15-year-old representative who betrayed our party to become Tmth's VP to be vice-chair - and doesn't really want to win - over a brilliant strategist who's served our party for a long time? Really?
Wait, are we? By my count, it's 8-4 Truman right now.

If we're here to nominate a new city for the Feb convention, I nominate Charlotte, NC.

A population of 360 won't, but one of 20 will. Wink

I nominate Santander - not because I'll vote for him, but because I want a competitive primary.

Okay, I officially nominate the following:
NeverAgain
Santander
Peebs
Mike Wells

Neither Mike nor I want to accidentally win, but we might as well have a semi-competitive primary in the meantime, right? Tongue

Fine, then withdraw Mike and I. Actually, maybe just Mike. Before I dropped out, Nev actually wanted me to keep running anyway, so the only reason why I wouldn't is because I might accidentally win the nomination. Tongue

Unless I missed someone, here are the informal results:
NeverAgain: 13 (61.90%)
Peebs: 5 (23.81%)
Santander: 3 (14.29%)
EDIT: Removing the Santander voters:
NeverAgain: 14 (70%)
Peebs: 6 (30%)
Exhausted: 1 (Classic's vote, as SG is not a candidate for President)

That would probably be true in an IRL primary, yes, SG. However, this is Fantasyland, where all the maps are wack.

Anyway, like I said in my campaign thread, congratulations to President NeverAgain.

Everything can be in the very near future if you try hard enough.
