Grassley must be a bit concerned about his reelection prospects with Trump on the ticket, especially if he angers enough Iowa Democrats that they get serious about beating him.

He should be. He probably won't lose, but a year ago that chance was just about zero, and now it seems to become more and more possible by the day. It's not like incumbents don't ever get defeated, either. With Trump, or possibly even Cruz at the top of the ticket, the SCOTUS debacle, a credible challenger for his seat having emerged, and the fact that Iowa is a purple state, he should be concerned.

At the very least, we can waste his money this year and make the old man sweat a little.
