How conservative was your upbringing, Virginia?

It wasn't really conservative, though I'm not sure how to weigh that. My parents were "liberal" but my dad could be a savage homophobe. My mom was indifferent but couldn't/wouldn't really influence the situation. I wasn't a problem until HS though

I had surgery this morning - nothing too dramatic, just some nose and throat stuff - but if any of my posts sound like I've gone off the deep potato, that is why.

I got a new doorknob 'cause my broke and I finally got it on and it doesn't align right with the door frame and now it won't close. I can't put my old one on either because that one is totally broken.

And then I just wasted an hour (again) coding the same thing I coded months ago, but forgot about (again).

And I'm almost out of oatmeal

Since 1993 I've appeared 31 times on an official ballot (including primaries and party offices). This morning I announce that I won't be on in 2018. I'm timing the announcement to occur before my big western road trip which starts on Friday. Petitions for 2018 start circulating just after Labor Day, everyone will know my plans well in advance.

I'm a bit curious, did your district's 2016 shift factor into this? I mean if you were already considering not serving anymore, I could see that being a good time to head for the exit, especially given the partisan composition of the legislature both now and projected in the future.

My (now ex-)girlfriend and I broke up today. 2 year relationship ended because she decided to outright ignore me for 2 days and spend today posting pics of another guy on Snapchat sleeping over, them drinking milkshakes together with hearts, and him shirtless making pizzas, while not bothering to read my messages or message me back.

That is so messed up. Sorry to hear!

I found a beautiful patch of violet flowers and there was this little bird I've never seen before hopping along next to me and tweeting it's heart out for like a full minute.

I wish I could have a gang of birds follow me where ever I go. Of course, only tagging along in a friendly manner and not pooping on me and stealing my sandwiches.

Sooo I've been hunting on-and-off this elitist moth I saw flapping around all snob-like, and I finally killed it dead and then immediately flipped my trance music back on and spent 5 WHOLE MINUTES dancing and saying I win!

I randomly decided to join the Atlas discord's voice channel, and Eharding immediately joined (I think).  The "hi's" happened, and then he immediately said that I called him a bad poster once. Something about his voice is just so off, strangely monotone. He makes me uncomfortable in a way that no one else ever has.

They actually want eharding there?

Well, the reason why eharding has not been banned is because he, amazingly, has been very well behaved in the chat.

However, if he does start to screw up, he can expect to be punished severely.

I just assumed for a much more personal kind of chat, where the average user count is probably under a dozen at any given time, people would be more picky about who they choose to spend time talking to. Like I'm sure Richard Spencer can be quite pleasant (at least based on various pieces written about him), but I'd never want him within any group I was hanging out with. He is a vile man.

Just saw Bladerunner 2049. Very impressed.

Me too. It really lived up to its name when I saw it categorized as neo-noir. I love futuristic dystopian movies like that. It was just a bit long, although that wouldn't have been a big problem if I wasn't sleep-deprived.
