Pathetic decision. Russia has already suspended the Air safety agreement, a world war could break out anytime! WTF is this accomplishing. Giving theocratic violent religious rebels who have used chemical weapons & affiliated to Al Qaeda & ISIS even more territory to conquer.

And what is being accomplished by this. Not even is that investigation completed. Forget Russia, even Canada & Germany have refused to say Assad is behind that & they want an investigation.

The use of chemical weapons must not be normalized. I believe he saw those pictures of those kids and it affected him. The same part of him that saved that old lady's mortgage back in 1986. A part of him that rarely comes out, yet is the only redeeming part of him, that we'll need to lean on, badly over the next four to eight years. Good job Trump.

Let's not pretend that chemical weapons are the main reasons. Everyone under Reagan were busy supporting Saddam when he used chemical weapons on Iran & there were no widespread protests. As long it is the Iranians getting sprayed with gas, who cares right? And Killings seriously - No1 cared about a democratic peaceful Mossadegh being killed because he wanted to nationalize Iran's oil or about a democratic peaceful Salvador Allende being killed in Chile only because he was a socialist (& a democratic one).

Given that Russia was warned & evacuated everything beforehand, this "strike" was just for show and suspending the Air deal is unnecessary aggression on their part.

And lol @ comparing nonlethal pepper spray with literally gassing kids. Lethal chemical weapons should not be tolerated anywhere. What we need domestically is some gun control, but that's virtually a lost cause...

I didn't make any comment about gassing kids etc so I will totally ignore the irrelevant last para.

IMO it is pretty native to believe that this will be a deterrent for Assad who is also fighting for his survival & empire when the US has been arming rebels to overthrow & kill Assad. It was a stupid thing to do for him when he already has Aleppo now (assuming the consensus that he did is true). I am also increasing skeptical if this was a 1 shot intervention because the war hawks are out in full force in NBC/CNN & want a massive full on war on Syria to the tune of Iraq. Till now there is not even a god damn international investigation to pin this on Assad, no international coalition etc which should be the 1st priority rather than unilateral strikes again.

Nuclear, biological, killing of civilians etc are also war crimes & children were getting butchered,maimed,bombed every day, women were raped & turned into sex slaves & many heinous war crimes committed daily & now there is a chemical attack & all hell breaks lose. The true left & non-interventionist Republicans like MT-Treasurer shouldn't support put party affiliation or idol to get into stupid devastating wars.
