If she wins this, we ought to do our damndest to make sure she doesn't win the nomination again when 2012 comes around.

Leip PMed me and told me that he voted for Kennedy.

I didn't realize Leip had a libertarian bent.

The Democratic majority in Congress is finished -imagine the burst of momentum the GOP is going to have from this going forward...

On the bright side, Obama did come closer than any Democratic president did before him to getting health care reform signed into law -but just fell tantalizingly short, stealing defeat from the jaws of victory.

Come on. To suggest that this election is going to cause the GOP to take one or both houses back is ludicrous. It might happen, but unlikely, and we have a long time to go until November.

Don't underestimate yourselves.  The GOP has managed the impossible -having brought the American people to disaster over the course of the past decade, they nonetheless managed through sheer chutzpah to convince them that they alone can rescue them from their own failures by following the same failed policies of the past.

I have to hand it to them -and the unbelievable amnesia and gullibility of the American people. After all we've been through, I didn't think it was possible -tonight (and likely this coming November) has humbled me.

I've posted the special election result here - with county map (unofficial with updates forthcoming).  I don't think Middlesex will hold for Brown as Cambridge and Somerville still have a lot of precincts to report.

Huge turnout for a single race on a snowy January day here.

Dave

I'll love you forever if you tell us who you voted for Cheesy

I heard he voted for Kennedy -the Libertarian candidate.
