Bill:
Quote
Restoration of the IDS

Being that the South is a terrible name for such an evocative state as 'the south'

AND

Being that an emperor is way cooler than being a governor and being that

AND

The south is the best region.

Be it resolved that the South will be renamed the IDS

There will be no unanimous consent to table this or any of Ben Kenobi's other proposed legislation. We must abide by the rules and proceed as required. So it's best for us to simply move as quick as we can on all existing and pending legislation rather than bicker about X and Y. Let's just do our jobs and accept what we can't change.

Since this seems to have died down and no one seems to have any commentary to add, I will now call a 48 hour vote.

A bit irrelevant at the moment, don't you think?

I have no issue with the floor remaining open for debate, but only if you're willing to drop your useless bickering with JTC and actually discuss it.

Personally I am not a fan of this, as the entire thing doesn't have the same feeling that a region that freely votes for their leadership should.

And considering your personal feelings towards our current Governor, would you really want to call him "Emperor NeverAgain"?

I'm all for re-naming our region, because everything about it is beautiful and worthy of a proud name, I just don't agree it should be IDS.

You did not specify *which* motion, Mr. Cuber. Technically this counts as seconding my motion.

Except it's clear the motion being discussed at the time he said that was about whether or not to table. While I agree he wasn't specific, it was clear what we were discussing at the time. Especially since it has since been seconded (unlike your motion), and Carpetbagger and yourself responded to it.

Well, technically you are correct.

I'm going to go ahead and table this.

My motion to vote on the amendment was sustained by Celtic Empire, which took precedence by virtue of being the first active motion.

So the tabling motion is wholly out of order.

Feel free to point out where in the rules it says this. Your motion was not seconded. Mr. Cuber's motion was, as well as yourself and Carpetbagger responding against it soon after. There was plenty of time for someone to second your motion in the proper order.

Mr. Cuber's motion was in order, unless you can provide evidence otherwise.

Tough, the motion to vote on the amendment was the active motion, fhtagn. It was seconded and so takes precedence over the 'tabling'.

Anyways, I call the question on the vote on the amendment since I started the motion vote on the amended bill and Celtic seconded it.

He seconded it AFTER Cuber's motion, and AFTER voting has started.
It does not take precedence.

The bill has been tabled. That is not going to change.
If you had an issue, you should have said something in the 48 hours I gave to vote.
You should have also produced someone to second your motion BEFORE I called to vote on tabling (which had a second that allowed me to call for the vote).

Sorry, not sorry.

I don't get why you are trying to drag out a bill that we all know will never pass. We did you a solid and voted to table it. Get over yourself, Ben.
