Madison Square Garden, NYC
Remarks from the Senator and Liberal Party ChairLet me say to my constituents, my fellow Liberals, and my fellow Atlasians, that this is one of the most humbling evenings of my life. This Senate race ended up being much more competitive than expected, but nevertheless, you guys pulled through, and I am honored to have the privilege to serve another term as your Senator. I must thank each and every one of you who gave me their first preference for this election- Nathan, Alfred, Cincinnatus, Simfan, among so many others. Thank you.
A few minutes ago, I got off the phone with CJO Belgiansocialist and accepted his concession. We both agreed that the Northeastern citizens have made their decision, and therefore, we will go forward together. And I know that Mr. Belgiansocialist will continue to do his part as our Chief Judicial Officer.
As you know, this election was about much more than just the issues- it was a contest of who the voters believed would contribute more to the region as well as to the game itself, and this weekend we highlighted the importance of having active representatives to help build on what we have. And the activity that is required is not demanded of one region. It is not demanded of one senator. It is demanded of each person who loves this country and desire to see it prosper. And while Mr. Belgiansocialist and I may have had our differences on this particular aspect, it is time that we put aside our differences and work together.
In my second term, I will work with fellow senators and the new administration to tackle issues such as jobs, the federal deficit, and game reform. I will also continue to work with Governor Nix and former Speaker Cincinnatus on getting our wiki to date.
And now, as Liberal Chair, I would like to say a few words on what we have accomplished tonight. Tonight, I am proud to announce that the progressives- both those who are Liberal and who are Labor- have achieved victories across the board. I offer my warmest congratulations to President-elect Napoleon and Vice President-elect Kalwejt. I have known these two in Atlasia for quite some time, and I can assure that both will prove to be efficient and active leaders for our nation. It is truly an honor to be here congratulating these two on what they have achieved.
I would also like to congratulate Senator Sbane in the Pacific and Senator Ben in the Mideast: two pragmatic progressives who will be continuing their service for four more months. Senator Ben, in particular, was faced with an uphill battle at the start of the campaign, but the results show that he has defied the odds.
And lastly, I would like to congratulate newly-elected Senator Redalgo in the Midwest Region. His campaign, in particular, was one of my favorites, and I look forward to working with him in the Senate next month.
Tonight is a great nice for the Liberal Party, indeed- but more importantly, for citizens across Atlasia. Thank you, Dave bless you, and Dave bless this great Republic of Atlasia!
