This is something that's been on my mind quite a bit the last year and a half.  So let's see.

1. Canada is probably out of the question for me.  Hell, probably every country is at this point.  But Canada would be at the top of my list if I had the freedom to live wherever I want; preferably a nice farm town in BC where it's not too cold year-round.

2. France.  Trickiest thing for me would be the language barrier, as I'd probably end up in southeastern France which is rural and not exactly a tourist hot spot.  (This is about where Varg Vikernes moved with his family after he left Norway, if I'm not mistaken.  I watch his YouTube vlogs all the time and the area looks quite nice.)

3. Speaking of Norway, this would possibly be my third option.  It's a tie between that and Sweden.  I know a little bit of Norwegian and a little bit of Swedish (though it's been a while since I've put much time in practicing either).  Luckily, most Scandinavians already know English, so the language thing wouldn't be much of a problem.

Not sure where in Sweden I'd live, but in Norway, I would probably look for a cheap cottage in Telemark.

4. I guess the UK belongs here somewhere.  It's not my ideal country, but it would obviously be ideal just because it's English-speaking.  They've probably tightened their immigration policies quite a bit, though.

Voted Canada because the poll doesn't allow multiple options.
