Elaborating on my last post in here. i couldn't sleep last night. my existential struggle that plagued me last fall is back.

specifically in relations to my sexuality. I haven't been able to live a functional life because of my insistence of staying in the closet/being scared to come out due to homophobic/biphobic family.

it's getting lonely in the closet and i'm not sure i can take anymore mental anguish from it. :/

thinking about coming out to my sister, who is the most likely to have a non-awful response.

I think you should. It can be hard, but not always. No matter what happens, I think you'll find that the benefits will significantly outweigh the negatives, even if it takes a bit to realize that. I was forced out basically in high school, and I could have lied to my parents and "gone straight" so to speak, but I didn't, and it caused a lot of problems at first. But then things were so much easier later in life. I'm glad I didn't drag on with it, and I think you would be too. Don't let the best years of your life go by trying to keep a lid on something that is eventually going to have to come off no matter what.

How conservative was your upbringing, Virginia?

And yeah, I'm pretty gender nonconforming but otherwise I'm really not LGBT so I can't be of much help in this area.  All I can say is follow your instinct and do what you think is best for yourself.  This is about you and your comfort, not anyone else's.  I'll pray for you, Sunrise.

This is kind of random, but I have a few questions for anyone who has clinical depression, assuming there are other such people here.

Does being in a relationship make your depression easier to cope with?  Do the responsibilities that come with a relationship prompt you to pick yourself back up so you can be there for that person and be a better boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse/whatever?  And has your depression ever become so severe that it ended up severing all the connections you thought you had to that person?

And if you get suicidal thoughts a lot, do relationships make you feel less suicidal, or perhaps more?  How do you serve your partner that way?  Do you become a burden to them?

Just some things I've been pondering this weekend.

Suicide is such a hard thing to moralize.  When my dad died, the police thought there was a chance it was a suicide.  It wasn't.  But my mom and I agreed that killing yourself when you have a family and obligations and such is a very rotten thing to do.  Maybe my dad would have killed himself if he didn't have us, because I know he was extremely unhappy toward the end.  At least recluses can kill themselves because they don't have any obligations to anyone (unless you bring God into the equation, but that's a whole different can of worms).

It's so much easier to die for someone than it is to live for them.

Thanks, JA.  I would think it is nice to have someone who listens if you're in that kind of mental state.  That would be easier for me if I were actually capable of social interaction beyond writing things behind a computer screen, but I have autism on top of everything else so that makes communication with people in person difficult as well, and since death is regularly something that occupies my mind when I'm sober anyway (since I was a kid), I know I would be a burden to most people.  That's why I vowed to remain celibate.  But I can't help but feel envious of people who are both mentally and socially 'normal' or 'healthy' and don't have to battle these problems all the time, and can live regular lives.

Thanks for the prayers and advice... I was PTSDing majorly last night.  I honestly believe the only way to kick these problems that I've had my entire life would be for me to check out of this life early, but then I have my mom to worry about, and of course upsetting God.  I honest to God don't want to be here anymore, and if I must then I want to be unconscious for as much of it as I can, just so that I don't have to be in pain.

The only person left in my life right now (outside the internet) is my mom.  She's all that's left.  When her time comes, whether it's thirty days or thirty years from now, I know I'll be evaluating a lot of things.  Her health isn't good either, though.  I don't know what's going to happen.  I'll do what I think is best when the time comes.

I was attacked by a bunch of alt-righters last night.  Those people are scary!

What happened?

He went to meet up with Santander and his friends, but realized it was a trap when it was too late.

I made an anti-alt-right Facebook post and retweeted a video of a prominent alt-righter saying some disgusting things.  A swarm of them then attacked my pages, mostly resorting to criticizing my weight and that I apparently am a baby boomer type of conservative instead of a millennial one (which they view as the alt-right).  One's profile actually said that the alt-right isn't extreme enough and that she is a Nazi instead (despite having a Jewish-sounding last name herself).

This is a phenomenal troll post.

Here’s a thing that happened to one of my friends.  I was there.

Basically, we were walking down the sidewalk, talking about something meaningless.  I think it had to do with a movie.  Then this bus screeches up, stops next to us, and a bunch of people with “Down with Cis” shirts climbed out and started beating him up.  I was punched and kicked a bit too, but I managed to avoid brutalization by going for their faces.  After figuring out what’s happening, I started attacking them back, getting them off of him.  He was quite injured but I called 911 and he made a full recovery at the hospital.  I was fine, with only a cut on my arm that they patched up.

Why's that?

Well, me and my mom have been surviving in a freaking hotel in VA Beach for over a year and we want out.  Originally I was planning on going back to college in NC, but ideally we'd like to be as far away from here as possible.  It would also be more lucrative to either go to a community college or study online while finding work in the new industry out there.

Currently I'm looking at cheap houses in Durango.  It seems to have a nice small town atmosphere to it.  Problem is we won't be able to leave until we get our stolen money back.  And our family pretty much abandoned us after we left Connecticut (my home state), so we don't feel that we're bound to any one part of the country.

I won't go too much into what's happened to us, but I'm miserable here and so is she.
