Chris Christie. I believe that him hugging Barack Obama after Hurricane Sandy was the divergence point for this horrible timeline we seem to be living in.

Romney did worse than Kerry. He wasn't even close. If there was any close election that could've gone the other way (where the other side may have actually won if a full recount were allowed to take place) - it would be the 2000 election.

Everything came together to gave Bush an edge. Jeb assisted in viciously scrubbing the voter rolls and limiting the recount. Cruz and Roberts played crucial roles on the legal team of the Bush 2000 campaign.

Trump and Stone played roles in wrecking the reform party, and Stone had a role to play with regards to initiating riots to delay the recount before the court decision ended it.

^ By the way, think about it. Gore winning in 2000 would signify the defeat of the religious right and would mean no Iraq War. Without that, there is no Obama, no Obama = no Tea Party (no deep bench of opportunists), etc.
