GE left Fairfield because it was in the middle of the suburbs and they wanted a more hip, urban location to attract Millennial workers. Republicans have successfully turned this into "Malloy's taxes drove them out of the state!" and people believe it even though it isn't true. They moved to Boston, if they wanted low taxes they would've moved to Houston or Atlanta.
