Proposed Amendment:

Section 2 of the Amendment to The Common Courtesy While Driving Act shall be amended to read as follows:

2. "Excessive noise or havoc" shall be defined as excessively intimidating drivers, and/or using profane language that is audible to other motorists."

I'm not a fan of this amendment.  There needs to be a warning system.

There's no warning for most other traffic violations.  Why this one?

Because it involves people having to pay a $250 fine if they are determined to have honked their car horn excessively.  That leaves a lot up to the officer's discretion.

I don't think this should even be a traffic violation to begin with, but I'm trying to find some sort of compromise on here. If people would feel more comfortable just outright repealing the bill, I'd be fine with that.

I'd be fine with a repeal at this point.
