Question: Did you get the day off school?
#1
Hell yes, and I'm gonna build a snowman and have a snowball fight.

#2
No.  Easterners are wimps.  You get a few inches of snow and everything closes.  I'm from the Midwest and I walk two miles to school every day in the snow.

#3
Snow?  Sick, dude.  Like, we're more into the herb, but that sounds chill.

It was -11F when I started cars yesterday. It's time the world mans up and braves the elements. Keep your damn snow days!   Tongue

Yes, another snow day for MT.  I'm at work today, though.  Lots and lots of shoveling yesterday and today.  Wicked cold this morning.  Currently 3°F.  Breezy too.  Glad I'm not working outside.

-4 this morning but it was a 2 hour delay for the districts around here.  Of course I like it because the main artery I travel has lots of stops for for the bus but not this morning when I came through.  Smiley

Everybody has a snow day today!  My son's school is closed, as is my university and my wife's college.  Looks nasty outside.  A few inches of snow on top of a thin layer of ice.  We'll stay in and watch movies and play ping pong till it slacks off, then I'll go out and dig.  Maybe we'll walk to the gym and do some swimming in the pool, if they're open today.

When you were in Iowa a few inches of snow on top of a thin layer of ice wouldn't slow people down on the roadway much less cancel school.

You live in Wimp Nation now.  Wink  Enjoy your day off.

No school again today.  I think this makes six for my son.  If I've done the math right, he'll now be in school till Thursday June 12.

Did they close yours and Mrs. angus' workplace too?

Lots of trees down.  This storm was mostly ice, not snow.  Probably the snow day was actually merited this time.  Not much you can do with no electricity, and the driving was a bit dicey.

Yeah we had 4+" today with an icy coating to it.....rough driving.  All schools here 2 hour delay and all colleges open.  But the lay of the land is quite different here.

They cancelled classes here and I don't even think it is sleeting. I am getting sick of makeup classes.

You go the OKC school district too, Dukey?

I still approve of Bill de Blasio overall but his decision to keep NYC schools open today is completely indefensible.

The school superintendent doesn't decide this?

Philly doesn't look good according to J.J.'s pictures.  Hard hit.

Received a pre-recorded call from our municipality last night saying they're out of salt.  Perfect timing since we got blasted with a few more inches at rush hour today.  Fun Fun.  Sad

The city was paralyzed by an ice storm followed by beautiful sun and warmth. Weird day.

Two-hour delay here.  This one really didn't seem necessary, but it's nice not to be rushed in the morning.

Really?  Damn.  You guys are rivaling Jokelahoma City when it comes to delays/cancellations.  Wink
