Ugh, pathetic. You've now had more cheat days this week, than I have all month. Apparently, you have no self control.

This.  I'm more than halfway to my goal of 50 pounds.....there are no cheat days!!!!!!!!!!!

In fact, you may have driven more people on here away from Jesus in your time here than closer to Jesus.

You know they don't sell dog meat at the Asian market right? It's actually a great place to get cheap, quality food.

Stop harassing him, Lief.  There's only one choice in real Jokelahoma

Murican Food
Muslim Food
Black Food
Asian Food
The Gayz

Also, "Mexican" food.

Ok, as long as it's not served by a muslim, negro, slant eye, or gayz.

^^^ top 5 atlas forum post of all time, that one is

his eccentricities overshadowed what made opebo really valuable: practical intelligence.  he understood how things actually work.

Thanks to the Ban Boyz we can't get posts  like that anymore.

I'm guessing Papa has issued an ultimatum on the job front.

If he's working at a grocery store he still can't support himself for a while.  Which makes me think Papa is going to let him renew his luxury apartment lease and plutocratic cable package and delay his retirement another 5 years. Sad

I just talked to Dad and he brought up an interesting idea that I wanted to bring by the forum.

He recommends after I entertain the interview tomorrow to suspend the job search entirely and take it easy and focus exclusively on the grocery store because of the job security.  He knows I need to have some stability in my resume, so he recommends me just focus exclusively on the store starting this Saturday morning.  He said why risk a permanent job for a job that may be only temporary?  Sure, the pay is not great, but it is a stable job and a chance to move up the ladder being the first employees to christen a brand new store.  It will be hard work and I will be on my feet the entire shift, but that might help me lose weight.  Hard work will be good for me.  He said also it might help my headaches since I won't be glaring at a computer screen all day long.

He is very excited about this job.

What do you all think?

Of course he is.  The man's retirement account is skinnier by the day.

Bushie, how many one way miles to work is this place?   Since  your state almost closes down at the sight of a snowflake.

One wonders how many days we'll hear this before it's RIP time.  Define "snowed in" please.

This being Oklahoma, we should safely get into Spring in the next couple of weeks.  It is extremely rare for us to get snow in April, and if it does it never sticks and it's always above freezing.  More likely, we get tornadoes in late March and April.  When I start work we will be in severe weather season.  Remember, Oklahoma is the heart of tornado alley.

RIP job

Amen.  Everyone is trying to make ODF into a sommelier so he can keep his job......I'm horribly disappointed in my friends here.  He's going to lose it:

1) Because of physical limitations, or

2) Absenteeism.

If he knows how to cook a spencer steak so it doesn't taste like shoe leather, or that you need to cook dry aged steaks 1/3 less time than wet aged, who fucking cares.

Glad you got the job. I just don't think it's the job you think it is.  No, I'm not confidant in you keeping it.

This extreme refusal to stick even a toe outside of your comfort zone and try something a little bit new (and you eat pork all the time; I'm not trying to get you to try some exotic cuisine) is 100% why you are in such a bad position in life in the first place.

You don't think he's moved outside his comfort zone by appying for this job in the first place?

Yes, but perhaps not by choice (after a family meeting), but whatever, he must focus on the physical toils he'll need to keep this job.  This nonsense over the last few pages is mind boggling.  God I sound like Memphis.

I think the reason why Mom was a little hesitant about the new job is every time there has been physical labor I "hid under the bed"..  She's right, I have shied away from a lot of physical labor in my nearly 33 years, but I reassured her that I am more mature now and ready to settle into a career.  I've got to prove to her that I can do this and that I'm not blowing hot air.

God, for once Mama is spot on.  And don't lie, more than a "little" hesitant.

Then, I used one of my cheat meals and ate at the Chili's in Owasso.

Reported for trolling.  You aren't on a diet and if you are you cheat more often than you don't.   Just stop.
