Wanna ram this through?
I have been told this is/should be non-controversial, so let's see if we can.
I ask unanimous consent to waive the minimum 72 hour debate time and cloture vote to proceed immediately to a final vote. Senators have 24 hours to object.
While I'm never one to put a damper on exciting new ways to abuse the rules of order
, I must point out that the OSPR clearly states the 72 hour debate time can only be waived by the PPT and President of the Senate jointly performing an emergency override of Senate procedure, described in OSPR Article 8.
However, I'd also like to note that nothing in the OSPR specifically prohibits such an override action from being authorized retroactively. Therefore, I hereby call for an override of OSPR Article 4, Section 1, Clause 1 for this bill, effective July 17th at 7:35 PM. Also note that a 24 hour waiting period wasn't actually required
Don't mind me, only trying to cover all our bases here, legally; just PM me next time you need to bend the rules, Yank
