Can the Democratic Party stop talking about compromise now?

Not a single Democrat tried to compromise on this. We're in this mess because the American people failed to send enough Democrats to Congress and the White House, not because the Dems in DC rolled over.

It got the same amount of Democratic support as Obamacare got from Republicans.. partisanship has been strong for a while.

Democrats adopted 108 amendments from the GOP and put them in the ACA

The GOP just can't govern period

Like I said, it got 0 Republican votes.

Understand why I dislike McCain now? He played you guys like a fiddle.

None of us expected McCain to vote no.

Save your selective outrage for something else. Bernie also hugged McCain. Is he now a corporate neoliberal shill as well?

Jesus Christ dude, you're like a reverse Jfern at this point.

Fallacies like the one Mondale just espoused should be called out IMO.

As today is the reconciliation deadline and the Senate isn't even in session, I request that this thread be locked and unstickied. TrumpCare is dead.

It should be unstickied, but locking doesn't seem necessary (unless it miraculously grows to 2000 replies).  If someone wants to add a few more things on this topic, this thread is as good a place as any.
