He says he won't run for anything in 2018.  Noncommittal for what happens after that.

Back in January the story was out that Castro was talking about his future an it was out if he ran in 2018 for anything he was planning for for long term like 2030's but if he didn't he would be running in 2020.......so we have our first entry into 2020

Here’s the thing on the candidates’ public statements: They only mean a little.  What matters much more is what the candidates are saying to aides behind the scenes.  The problem is that we really find out what they’re saying, because those conversations are private.  Fortunately, some of them leak, and so these little dribbles of insider scoops from Mike Allen are extremely valuable:
