Trump is alone against the swamp but the ordinary and hardworking people will not be fooled by the left.
Oh  off with that, the man cabinet is full of Goldman Sachs people, he fired the head of the FBI to stop an investigation into him, he excepted his friends from his lobbying EO, and was going to cut things like Medicare to pay for tax cuts. He is the swamp

It is days like this that show how the heavy heavy dem worship of this board clouds some objective discussion. It is absolutely true that trump has bad numbers in the three closest states in 2016, but how in the heck are we to assume that the democratic party has recovered?

Trump had favorables in the 30s in those states on november 8th, as well, yet he still won.....

Maybe, just maybe, the democratic party is trending in a direction that midwest voters don't like. That absolutely has to be factored in before you write off trump in those states.

It wasn't just hillary that midwest voters rejected in 2016, they rejected dem senators and senate candidates who were clean and had no baggage, even beloved figures like Russ Feingold.
Because in the history of midterms no president has been unpopular but the opposition party not benefited. Plenty of times in the lead up to 2010 and 2014 Obama had polling of him being more popular then the GOP party and looked how that went

PPP - National:

40% Approve
53% Disapprove

Source

For comparison, in July PPP had 41/55.  Some other tidbits from the new poll:

Generic Congressional ballot is 49 D, 35 R.  Congress approval is 9/73, McConnell is 9/61, Ryan is 16/62.

48/41 in favor of impeachment.  46/37 think the Russia story is not "fake news".  Also:

If evidence comes out that proves conclusively that members of Donald Trump’s campaign
team worked in association with Russia to help Trump win the election for President, do you
think Trump should continue to serve as President, or do you think he should resign?

Continue: 34
Resign: 54
I fail to see between dems hatred of Trump and Trumpers hatred of the reps in congress how 2018 isn't ugly

I'm interested in seeing how Trump's response to Harvey is going to be perceived. He hasn't made any obvious missteps yet (aside from the Friday news dump, but the whole point of that was for the hurricane to drown out those stories, which is probably going to happen)
Except he has and no one realizes it yet but FEMA is horrible understaffed

The gap between white men and women is quite huge when it comes to the approval of Trump (and on some other questions).

White Men:
Approve of Trump - 50%
Disapprove of Trump - 41%

White Women
Approve of Trump - 39%
Disapprove of Trump - 57%
Dammit my gender/race stop making me look bad

Fox News, Sep 24-26, 1017 RV (change from last month)

Approve 42 (+1)
Disapprove 53 (-2)

Strongly approve 26 (-2) (New low in this poll)
Strongly disapprove 45 (+1)

Do you think Donald Trump has the temperament to serve effectively as president? (change from Dec.)

Yes 37 (-7)
No 59 (+7)

How does one approve of Donald Trump's performance as president but simultaneously think he does not have the temperament to serve effectively?
Old guard consertives who are embarrassed by his behavior but are making buck off the high stock market
