This is all true but you, or rather the cartoonist, forgot his ignoring of HIV for years as thousands of Americans wasted away. Also the Beirut bombings in which hundreds of marines were killed. And the Farm Crisis. And the out of control crime, crack cocaine abuse, and teenage pregnancy that defined the 1980s. Although a decent sized minority of people would continue to prosper until Bush Jr's presidency, most Americans never saw their economic outlook improve again once this man became President.

Is Bushie one of those much talked about but not really existing "Reagan Democrats"?

I think Bushie likes every single person who has been or ran for President.  I wouldn't point to him as the proverbial diamond in the rough. 
Except for Al Gore. He very much doesn't like Al.
