What is the first election night you remember?

I remember 2000 only for the mock election my 2nd grade class had (I was seven and a half at the time and I voted for Gore), the recount, and my dad being pissed at the end result. I don't remember the election night itself. 2004 was the first in where I actually remember watching  the results come in, but had to go to bed before a winner was decided. I found out the next morning that Bush had been re elected. Election night 2008, I stayed up all the way through Obama's acceptance speech and this was also the case in 2012 (the first election I voted in).
