Three of my grandparents made it into their early 90s, dying while I was a child.

(Being the baby of the family and having parents who were the babies of their families meant my great grandaparents would have had to be supercentenarians for me have even had a chance to know them.

I'm sort of in that boat. My mother was born when my grandfather was 46. I knew him but he was already 75 when I was born. I never would've had a prayer to meet my great-grandparents. They died in 1950 and 1960 respectively. My great-grandfather was born in 1875 and he died in 1950 and my great-grandmother was born in 1872.
