They always seem to say "Luv u !" to their kids.

About a 1000 times a day.

Or is this only among younger US parents ? Did previous generations of parents also use it on a daily basis ? What are your experiences with this ?

I have never heard a European parent say to their kid: "I love you." or "Luv u." (every child here knows that their parents love them, no need to tell them 5.000 times a day ...)

Parents often say "Love you" or "I love you" to their kids especially in America, but I have never once heard an American parent say "Luv u !"

Also, probably only about 100 times a day. Not 1,000 or 5,000.

And I'm about 99.99% sure there is some European culture that does this same practice.

No wonder Europe has had 2 world wars

This is compensated later on in European's life though, because they get 5 weeks of paid vacation and other social goodies, whereas Americans only get 2 weeks of vacation and no maternal leave, leaving them constantly stressed throughout the year and paranoid, which further means arming themselves and killing each other or taking drugs (leading to 100.000 deaths each year) ...

Alrighty, we know Europe is better than America.

Also, I can attest that only two weeks of vacation does not lead Americans to arm themselves.

I mean, Europe is better. Look at all of this:

lots of beautiful pictures of europe

Anyway, let's get back to European parents, most of whom also are superior to American parents Smiley.

Europe is great, and I love going there. My point is that this thread seems to be all about "look at Americans, they're so stupid, and look at Europeans, they're heaven on Earth." Tongue
