What is it that people do not understand? He has said no, hundreds of times. He is not going to run for office - EVER AGAIN. It's time people let go. It almost makes me wish he had gotten less popular votes than Bush just to prevent the speculation of a candidacy that is never going to happen.

Despite winning the popular vote, Gore experienced the greatest decline of any presidential candidate in history. He lost countless states that he had by double digits going in, lost his home of Tennesee, and I think he took New Hampshire for granted because he hardly campaigned there at all.

The dems can point all the fingers they want at the Florida FEC, Voting Machines, and Ralph Nader...but the truth is they picked a bad candidate that people didn't trust.

Actually, the election was pretty tight all the way through:

March 10, 2000:  Gore-48% Bush 46%
September 7, 2000: Gore-47% Bush-46%
October 6, 2000: Gore-47%, Bush-45%

He had a dip in the summer of losing by double-digits, but quickly plowed right back into the lead.

I believe that if we can find a solid moderate Dem to run against Hillary, that that candidate could steal most of the south from her, the Mid-Atlantic, and possibly get on an unstoppable roll. I think that person could be Gore.

If I can find the link again I'll post it, but the earliest poll that they had recorded was in late January was

Gore - 51%
Bush - 46%
Undecided - 3%

Gore is just done. Dems need to let go and search for another candidate, one with an actual intrest in the presidency. Warner could be a good candidate against the socialist Hillary...but he has some stances that really clash with the general Democratic base.

I doubt that, Dems aren't stupid. As I have said before...she is like Howard Dean. All hype that wont translate into primary votes.

Since when was Gore a moderate?  Vice President O-Zone never was a moderate (even in the Senate, contrary to popular belief).

He was a typical right-of-center Democrat, Reagan Rider.

I considered Gore to be more of a populist. Look him up at OnTheIssues...though I am sure some Gore-on will find way to discredit the sites liability.
