Lean Democrat.

One of the few things about our two party system here in the US that I like is that both of the major parties provide a rather large range of opinions within themselves. While hardly a common trait, it does mean that from time to time someone in either party can champion an individual view over the party line, which is why I look for independent thinkers over ideological ones. This is one reason I am independent. These can come from either party, but contemporarily I find a wider range of agreeable thought from the Democrats, especially on social issues.
