Why anyone would support a member of the CPS board at this point is beyond me

Duckworth is endorsed early on

We need black candidates; I am not backing away from my support, but will endorse Duckworth if she is nominee.

I fully support Edwards of MD, too. She isnt only on the school board she is part of the Urban League, jobs for at risk  youth. Duckworth only beat tea partier Walsh. She is prone to errors and mistakes. But let the primary season begin. It wont hurt.

Lisa Madigan didnt run so we have a primary.

GOP is very much in trouble; without Rauner's millions to blanket the airwaves. Given that, Kirk is disadvantaged in this race.

As dems outnumber GOP, they have to spend Rauner numbers to win; Kirk doesnt have those numbers.

Spelling a Duckworth win.

This seat is subject to a single term; anyways. Mosley-braun, Fitzgerald, Obama, Kirk.

Only Alan Dixon was able to hold seat consecutively.

When Durbin retires, that seat will be in flux for Dems as well.

Given that it is a midterm, her chances on holding on will be small.

But, given the House gerrymandering of IL, there is Bustos and Quigley and Duckworth, but no shoes to fill after Rauner or Kirk, for statewide office.

Also; being behind Leader McConell who blocked Loretta Lynch, wasnt the smartest move by Kirk, which lasted too long.

Given Obama and the race barrier in IL, which galvanized blacks against Kirk; unlike last time against Ginnoulias.

Why hasn't there been any meaningful polling on this race yet?!

Well we know; Kirk and Rauner duo performed pretty well in his home district and Lake county; and in presidential years the county flips towards the Dems, with a Schneider, not Dold win, propels Duckworth to victory.

The state legislature is as unpopular as Quinn. But, Mike Madigan and Dems run Springfield, and wont put congressional term limits on ballot for Kirk.

Which would be his second term anyways. So, Tammy Duckworth has steared clear of the chaos and Durbin, and has a slight lead.

By the way, it wouldnt bind Kirk, because federal official, but IL GOP has already endorsed it.

Damn, this is going to be a nasty campaign. Anyway, it would probably be better for Dems if someone else won the Primary IMO. Duckworth is a very overrated candidate.

That ad is least affective now, since Blago's convictions have been overturned based on campaign financing.

Dupage & Lake counties probably voted for the last GOP statewide officeholder & for the wrong Gov. Bruce Rauner, who like Kirk have made questionable decisions. Like defunding hospitals.  As 2016, will the veto proof state legislature substain itself.

Duckworth isnt an average Dem, like Foster, she is from greater Chicagoland, suburbs. That makes her a better fit as a candudate😍

Lean Duckworth; but I will vote for him anyways in primary. He will be better than Zopp or Duckworth.

Dan Hymes is done with politics, otherwise he would have notified Senate Dems, like Durbin, he's running. Duckworth will probably be elected Senate, but she can be defeated only in the primary. IL wont be electing another statewide GOPer, after the disappointment of Rauner.

It really doesnt matter because Dold, Rauner & Kirk are pretty much moderates and IL have had its fill of Rauner, because of the budget crisis.  Rauner has doomed the GOP in 2016-2018, with Comptroller too.

Duckworth isnt the best candidate, but she was the other choice, since Madigan didnt run, against Dems wishes

I think a lot of Republicans will end up leaving the Senate ballot blank in 2016, Kirk's votes for PP and gun control have to be a bit too much especially in Southern Illinois. If there's a Libertarian I expect them to pull like 3-5% of the vote.

I sure hope they do. Kirk also opposes banning late-term abortions and is very pro-choice. Damn, Illinois Democrats are so fortunate. They have a choice between two Democrats for Senate next year!

His mistake in 2010 was voting against immigration reform, he also voted against the 2007 immigration bill in House, that would have passed under Dubya Bush.

I doubt Rauner will be much of a factor in 2016, and his JA numbers are not even that bad yet, certainly not where Pat Quinn was.

Rauner will be looking for a new job in 2018, because Dems will be united, not divided in beating him.

That's probably true, but I think you're overrating his impact on 2016

Rauner campaigned just like Kirk, in uniting R's & D's in the state. So, far, the budget impasse has impacted health care and hospitals. And GOP wants to repeal Obamacare

Kirk has substained the McConnell Obstruction even on Appeals Crt nominees. Dems are going after him hard. Duckworth  will win.

I will be electing Zopp for Senate. She just released a powerful ad blasting NRA. Kirk is part of GOP leadership in DC. McConnell blocked Background checks.

Obama was elected statewide, 3X's. Without Southern Dems. We can elect ZOPP. ZOPP will receive alot of Cook support with Kim Foxx bringing in black vote in March & Nov.

Duckworth isnt a strong candidate, she can very well lose to Kirk. That's why Zopp is getting so much love.

She is better than Mark Kirk, but 2010, Kirk defeated a steller candidate in Ginnoulius, he shpuldnt be underestimated either, and we will have a primary on March 15th.

Well, Chris Kennedy should of been our nominee, but Obama wanted Ginnoulius. Lol, Kennedy had his own money, and wouldn't have had the bank scandal . So, we have to redo the election that was winnable in 2010.
