I think a slogan of "getting over Reagan" would do more good to get moderates and indepedents on board.

Reagan had a HELL of a lot more gravitas, very visible Governor of the largest state in the country, a previous presidential run.... add that to Carter's appalling handling of the Iran Hostages drama and even then Reagan didn't get an appreciable lead until the final week after the debate.

As much as I dislike Reagan's politics, he was exactly what America needed at that time. Palin is NOT Reagan, and anyone thinking she can be the 'second coming' of St Ronnie is deluding themselves.

While the Teabaggers aren't going anywhere, I feel this will be their peak election.
