Yeah, Utah and Idaho are going to be bloodbaths. Arizona might be too, but the other way around.

I'll take some upcoming Sanders bloodbaths.  The objective now has to get Bernie on the ticket.

Lol... why make him powerless?

Vice Presidents that force their way onto the ticket thru primary challenges do not have strong Constitutional powers; yes, you are right.  But they wind up having influence on the platform and message of the party, which I feel is more important going forward.

I say this as someone who doesn't support Bernie, but likes the focus he's bringing. As VP he'd be Hillary's subordinate, and would have to advocate her policies, not his. He is much better off being in the Senate.

LOL @ Sanders already assuming he wins UT and ID

Seems like a pretty safe assumption at this point.

I think that would be quite the shock... and no, it ain't gonna happen.

Either it's the mic is bad or Sanders sounds a little horse.

What was it everyone says...? smile more and stop screaming into the mic?

Indeed....

Right now the only Liberal in the race is speaking.

Thank God you can't vote in the US. This whining gets old really fast and is embarrassing to the campaign Senator Sanders is running.

Are you even a Sanders supporting? I am doubting this every post.

You mean apart from the fact that it's blatantly false - this bs "I get to define what progressive and liberal is, it's me and if you disagree with me, you're not" is doing a hell a lot more long-term damage to the obsessives than it does to the wider race, thankfully.

What "winning national campaign" is Bernie talking about?

Shhhh... I don't think they know yet...

And Hillary is in Seattle.

Yes I am supporting Sanders. I am to the point with Clinton, with here speech last night to AIPAC, where I am considering voting Green here in Maryland because my vote really doesn't matter. Yet I am so sick of the whining by many Sanders supporters. I am sick of the idea that Cruz, Trump, or even Kasich would better than Clinton. It is so annoying. Do I need to bump up the Sanders Venting Zone thread?

I appreciate the response. No I believe Clinton would be pretty close to how Obama would be (probably a tad more conservative) but yes she would be far better then Cruz or Trump but I believe you should have a choice where we can be excited for the candidate not so literal monsters can't win the presidency.

You see, I respect that position. But I'd really, really appreciate some to understand that some of us are actual fans of Hillary and are excited to see her win.

Sounds like Bernie's going all the way to California.

I don't think anyone actually expects him to drop out. I'm on the record saying he has the right to stay in as long as he likes. But the tone needs to change, he isn't winning the nomination and he needs to start helping the progressive movement in November, that includes actively raising money for campaigns other than his own and campaigning for Democrats. Him staying in can be a big positive, but still treating it like a genuinely competitive primary is a bad idea.

He's still trying to win. I imagine he'll help like-minded Democrats, like Zephyr Teachout.  Although I'm sure the grassroots is already doing a lot for her.

He might be, that'll help the delegate margin at the end, but it won't get him the win. Math is real, just as it was for Hillary in 08, by the end of February the writing was on the wall. Regardless of good states coming, the margin couldn't be overcome. This is even more emphatic.

Hillary could get indicted & anyways would drop out when the FBI finds her guilty, indictment or not.

Either ways only 50% of the states have voted, so I don't see the big deal.

If he cares about the progressive movement, then Hillary clean needs to lose in November for a real progressive to rise - The Dem party needs to have a huge temporary setback if it needs to go the right way on the long term.

Supporting a mass murderer neo con is doing so service to the progressive wing.

For God's sake, but of course, us Hillary supporters are stupid, corrupt or plain evil aren't we? So I'm not sure why I'm bothering engaging with you.

IF the fantasy of the indictment or any other unexpected scenario emerges where Hillary cannot be the nominee, the convention will likely be open anyway.

Yet no one questioned Clinton for taking it to the end after it was pretty much over after Obama went on his run in February and it was obviously over. I know it's over, but I think it would help everyone if every contest is contested this cycle. It totally helped in 08 by building an infrastructure for Obama.

As I said, let the contests run their course... but PLENTY questioned her carrying on.

I think we need to be careful about these place by place results and just wait for the state-wide.
