So, yeah. After some months of mad infighting and factionalism within both the Liberals and the NDP,  both Premier and Leader of the Opposition have resigned in relatively quick succession and so both parties have a leadership race.

Even Vander Zalm himself has re-emerged on the scene, leading a sort of Tea-Party-like extra-partisan right-populist revolt against the BC Liberals over a new sales tax (the HST):

LOL. Just looked it up; not even the BC Conservatives, who see to be on the verge of a revival, have a leader at the moment. Jane Sterk for Premier?
