Some interesting results; I was curious what the views of Atlas would be.

Buying / Wearing Fur
Medical Testing on animals
Sex out of wedlock
Gambling
Death Penalty

Also meant to check baby out of wedlock, but forgot too.

Pretty sure I set it to allow you to change your votes if you want.

Also, these are supposed to be general. I think it is not an inconsistent position to be, say, morally opposed to cloning humans but supportive of it in extreme circumstances--but this survey is looking for your general position, not specialized exceptions.

Well, we've gotten a lot of responses. Here are the Atlas's views, in order of moral acceptability:

Gambling: 52/59, 88%
Same-sex relationships: 49/59, 83%
Sex out of wedlock: 48/59, 81%
Embryonic stem cell research: 47/59, 80%
Having a baby out of wedlock: 45/59, 76%
Cloning animals: 43/59, 73%
Divorce: 43/59, 73%
Pornography: 42/59, 70%
Physician-assisted suicide: 42/59, 70%
Medical testing on animals: 40/59, 68%
Buying/wearing animal fur: 39/59, 66%
Abortion: 33/59, 56%
Suicide: 26/59, 44%
Cloning humans: 23/59, 40%
Polygamy: 22/59, 37%
Death penalty: 19/59, 32%
Cheating: 12/59, 20%

There is only one issue, the death penalty, which the Atlas condemns more than the nation as a whole. However, some issues receive much more tolerance at the Atlas while others are relatively close to the national figures. (Note that these are a little skewed, since issues that already were widely not condemned don't have as much room to go up, and some things that the Atlas condemned, like suicide, it still condemns much less than the entire country.)

Cloning animals: +41%
Pornography: +40%
Suicide: +29%
Cloning humans: +28%
Same-sex relationships: +27%
Polygamy: +26%
Physician-assisted suicide: +25%
Gambling: +24%
Having a baby out of wedlock: +22%
Sex out of wedlock: +21%
Embryonic stem cell research: +18%
Abortion: +15%
Medical testing on animals: +13%
Cheating: +13%
Buying/wearing animal fur: +10%
Divorce: +4%
Death penalty: -33%
