He literally gave a two minute press conference, reading off of a note card, and took no questions. I do not believe one word that came out of McMaster's mouth.

Why blindly trust wapo, a left-leaning newspaper, but automatically refuse to respect the word of perhaps the most respected person in the trump admin?

HR mcmaster's hire was lauded by almost everybody.

All media outlets that report on stories you people don't like are left leaning and biased in your view.

deflection! I'm not saying you shouldn't think it is credible, but wapo has been wrong in the past. The "comey asked for more money before firing" was a lie, as was the story that vermont't utility system was hacked by russia.

You think a respected and honorable military guy like mcmaster is going to destroy his image like that?

It's not just the Washington post which has reported on and confirmed this story. Get your head out of your ass.

Yes, I do believe that people associated with this garbage administration including McMaster are willing to jeopardize their public image in a vein attempt to stay in Trump's ear.

Why should we automatically value the "statements" of leakers in the intel community, both current and retired, who likely hate the fact that trump is in office? Don't you think it is at least partly the case that trump's "anti-establishment" and total political outsider status irks these people to their core ,and they will go to the papers and fling anything to the wall to hope it sticks. What do you have to lose? You can't be punished for leaking fake stuff.

By far, the biggest story of the trump WH so far is the intel community's soft war against him. Whether or not it is justified is up to you, but it's definitely a thing. They want him out, and there will be leaks every week like this for the rest of his days in the WH.

Bingo! The leftist hacks here believe because they want to believe. It's like a two year old with the tooth fairy. They think if they believe hard enough their fantasies will come true.

By the way, why wouldn't we want to share intel with Russia about ISIS? Russia is one of the few nations that has actually bombed ISIS. I thought leftists were all about global cooperation?

they are not since they - ofc - have doublechecked their story with the agencies, which is why the story is....."censored".

Yes they are.  They leaking itself is felonious.

CNN: Rex Tillerson's statement was a surprise to the State Department.

He's getting ready to resign.

you wouldn't want share classified intel from one of your allies, collected through some possible mole, which wasn't even shared with US allies at this point, with a strategic enemy, no. Smiley

Why do you want Russia to be an enemy in the war against ISIS?

According to the president of the USA, Russia is probably an ally Tongue

Why do you want a war with Russia? Because you can get over that Hillary! lost because the people rejected liberal ideology and then had to invent a Russian boogeyman as an excuse?

Or they coordinated their statements?

The only coordination is the Compost with the DNC.

If trump was alone in the room with mcmaster and the russians, how did people know what was said?

Thomas Jackson, for the sake of independents everywhere, please stop using that independent avatar. You can't pull that card when you're basically Diet ExtremeRepublican politically.

1.  No.
2. I am an independent, not a Republican.

marty you make funny posts sometimes but you're making it really hard not to put you on ignore.

I'm just trying to provide balance.

I want to know

1) If the leakers realize how reckless they were telling wapo the details.

2) How the leakers obtained the info that classified info was said. If indeed it was highly, highly secret, to the point where even our allies don't know, how did the leakers get it?

Are those 2 things really all that much to ask?

They don't want you to ask questions. They want you to Resist!(TM).

Ah, the signs of not having an actual rebuttal. It seems the Trumpists are the ones in tears at the moment judging by their reactions.

This board has a huge bubble issue. The 5 right-leaning posters who post here are never even responded to honestly. It's gifs, personal attacks, insults, and ad-homs which we get in reply.

Tired of it. I try to be nice but this board is eaten up with its hatred for all things republican.

It's quickly resembling the pre-election days when anyone who questioned hillary's lead or her position was mocked into oblivion.

This is a basic fact: there is not one red ava on here that even for a minute has the urge to seek out counter arguments.

Bingo!

I'm getting sick of being called a Russiabot, unpatriotic, and a fascist.

it's so bad that it's to the point where anyone who doesn't tow the democrat line is an unpatriotic, russia fellow traveler.

And they act like this goes beyond politics......yea right!

This board is further left than DailyKos. The majority of the red avatars here can't stand to hear opposing viewpoints.

Why is it that every single new thing that comes up about Trump and/or his administration is immediately dismissed by his supporters?  Is it just them trying to save face, or are they legitimately deranged?

If Hillary had won, and then all of these revelations started coming out of possible Russian collusion and her giving classified info (reportedly more info than even our allies have on the matter), then she would lose my support.  At some point, something has got to give with these people.

if you truly think this board would be as outraged over russia colluding to help hillary win and all other russia stuff being connected to her, then you are crazy.

All 3 of the people in the room with trump have denied he shared confidential info: tillerson, powell, and mcmaster.

Why should they NOT be trusted, but anti-trump leakers are automatically trusted?

What PROOF do we have?

1. There was more than 3 people in the room with Trump,
2.  They have NOT denied that he shared confidential info.

It's very frustrating dealing with apologists that ignore the facts.

1. Name them. All of them.
2. They have denied what the Compost claimed.

For the last time, the statements did not deny what the Washington Post reported.  They denied that sources, methods and military operations were discussed.  That's not what WaPo reported.

As for the other point, you can't seriously be claiming that those three were the only ones in the room, can you?

That's exactly what the Compost was saying.

So Trumpers are literally party before country after 30 years of waving the flag

If that's not clear by now, I don't know what more evidence you could possibly need to show that the "real Americans" and Evangelicals alike (a lot of overlap there) are the biggest bunch of hypocrites and should never be taken seriously ever again.

Wait, why must it be assumed that *your* position is the american one, and anyone who disagrees with you is a traitorous human being? Isn't that sort of absolutism dangerous to society?

Why do so many red avatars on this board act like they are somehow above the fray when it comes to their views and their actions? You guys think your opposition to trump stems from some higher, more decent source than partisanship, when in reality it doesn't. Because for 15 MONTHS this board poo-pooed the hillary email story, a development that virtually ALL independently-minded people, even many on the left, admitted was a huge deal that played a role in her losing.

I'm fine with you being against trump, but do not sit here and tell me you are somehow a better person than people who choose to defend him. You call others "party before country" people, but you punted when it came to hillar's reckless practice.

We are all in the mud of partisanship, and it's not as black/white as "anyone who defends him is anti-american". Get out with that crap. It's a mechanism to protect you from debate. You are set in your ways and will never  change from your basic worldview, which is that

right=bad
left=good

Actually, I was a Republican up until it became clear the Donald would become the nominee, but nice try. My worldview is the same as TD's.
So since Trump won the nomination, you quit the party.

Yeah, raving lunacy and white person populism isn't my cup of tea

I was also a Republican voter up until Trump won the nomination.  The GOP is dead to me now; never again will I vote for anyone with an R by their name.

Lol. You were. Republician? With a -4.00 and -7.83 PC score?

The Easter bunny is real.

Convinced that most liberals on here are trolls who love personally attacking and calling pro-Trump Republicans cultish racists.

They will always be butthurt over losing the election. They won't get over it. Ever. 5 months in, I enjoy watching them become even more unhinged.
"Trump won."

Fixed.
