Would anyone here (except Dazzleman and htmldon who have already done so) actually try to answer the topic question?

Thanks.

Don't know about you, but at 13, I pretty much already knew the mechanics.  Wink

Good for you -I lived a life so sheltered that it wasn't until 6th or 7th grade that I came to know the sexual anatomy of males and females.

You weren't aware of your own sexual anatomy? That's most strange.... and this comes from someone you can tell a thing or two about sheltered lives.

Of course the biggest problem with Sex education is deadbeat parents who refuse to teach their kids the facts of life - from an early age. All state-backed\school-led based sex-ed adds very little to what one already knows; at least from my experience (at 15; any earlier we would have a reality-defying outcry by the ultra-prudes and the Church.)

I didn't know about it to the detail that the sex ed classes taught me -I knew basically that I had a penis (what my mother, for her own strange reasons, referred to as a 'tinkler').  That's about it.

I never got to see a woman naked -at least at an age I could appreciate it...   I once saw my maid (when we lived in Manila) stripped to the waist, topless, apparently when she was changing, but then I wasn't even twelve and in any case I averted my eyes within a split second -though I could have sworn she was smiling when I looked at her.

It wasn't until 8th grade that I looked at porn for the first time originally to compensate for it, and to get a real-life visual for many of the stuff they mentioned with regard to girls' sexual anatomy.

Ain't that the truth.  Tongue

Yeah, I was pretty much ignoring the rest of the thread; just your comment was sort of, well, interesting. I just wanted to have excuse to rant against the great many Deadbeat parents I know around here.

Great post Dazzleman, btw. I totally agree with that.
