even while rick wilson and liz mair kept hinting about that stuff for weeks, i now start to wonder if the clinton camp themselves is in posession of anything else.

could there have been a better day than today for more?

Yes. 2-3 days after the debate. Clinton drops something less damaging Machado-style at the debate, then follow up with a big one on Sat/Sun.

After all, if Trump does damage her somehow at the debate, you wouldn't want that to overshadow any stuff that was put out there the day before. The best way to manage this would be on a weekly basis, so each story gets enough play. Look at what happened after the first debate - Trump had like a half dozen negative stories come out on him and none of them were able to really stick because they were so close together, and overshadowed by his obsession with Machado. It needs to be more spaced out, especially given how close we are to the election.

But, then again, she can't control the news, contrary to popular belief.

I'll agree here, anything that may be there would come after--once he can no longer use the debates to spew his garbage directly to the American viewers, and Clinton may also want to negate any damage that may come from things that are brought up at the debates if any is done.

I don't understand why so much credit is given to Trump, especially after what we've witnessed the past few weeks.

This debate, if I'm correct, is hosted by Fox--and they'll likely tailor the questions to do the most damage to Clinton and give the biggest boost to Trump--which is why I'm worried about how it will play out.
