My dad's partner's (girlfriend's? common law wife's? whatever.) father fell down the cellar stairs and broke his skull recently. At 94. And he's already home from hospital and looking to be recovering alright. Still, they're thinking of finally giving up the house and moving somewhere smaller (his wife is 86 and in worse health than him. He really doesn't look like he's close to death at all. He still drives, well he did before the accident, and it's not like he's a safety hazard on the road.)
McGovern doesn't really look his age either, it seems (unless he's aged a lot in the last two years, which is always possible at that age). So, I guess there's good hope he'll recover.
