The only ones that come to mind are 2008, 1990, and 1958 for the Democrats and 1962 for the Republicans.

Can anyone find any others?

In 2006 the Pubbies only defended one. Yet they still lost the Senate....

Same with Democrats in 2002.

Well tbf they had more seats than us at the time.

But Republicans also had 20 seats up in that cycle to the Democrats ten in a addition to the fact that is was a midterm of a Republican President.  Democrats really had no excuse for losing the Senate that year.  Shaheen and Mondale should have won.
